Why We Use Google+ for Digital Marketing

Welcome to the Kleber & Associates blog! Here’s the latest on Why We Use Google+ for Digital Marketing

I have watched Google+ very closely since it launched and joined the new social network as soon as my invitation arrived. Once the Google+ Brand pages were introduced and the previously marketing-free platform was open to all, I grew more Google_Plus_logo_wikimedia_commonsinterested in the opportunities available through the platform. However, marketers have not taken to Google+ as quickly as they have to Facebook and Twitter. Many feel that it’s simply one more task to add to their already full plates; one that doesn’t seem worthwhile because of the platform’s significantly smaller reach as compared to the more popular social networks.

Originally, the Kleber & Associates company held this view. We quietly observed the platform from the sidelines waiting for something worthwhile to come along to give us incentive to join, to invest our valuable time in yet another social platform. We waited for our audience to migrate there; to show an indication that our efforts won’t be wasted. Late in 2012 our viewpoint changed. We were no longer satisfied with standing on the sidelines waiting for engagement and audience to increase, we joined Google+. Why? Because, it’s Google, after all.

At the end of the day, you can’t ignore the elephant in the room that is Google. The world’s most popular search engine still accounts for approximately 68% of all online search traffic. Google is working every day to deliver better search results for its users. And a large part of that now includes social search and semantics, driven by Google+. Read more…

New Facebook Tool Makes Page Management a Breeze

With over 1.3 billion users, Facebook remains the global king of social media engagement. From the halls of Harvard, ramping to a cultural phenomenon in a mere decade, Facebook is viewed by some on the same level ofLike Button importance as was once reserved for the telephone and Internet. No matter your view of the importance of this community-builder, it’s hard to argue the site’s role in today’s society and its ability to influence a brand’s reputation. Whether leveraged as a marketing tool, customer service portal — or a blend of both — Facebook has grown into a complex matrix of interactions that requires the right blend of engagement and analysis for optimum results.

While certainly a powerful opportunity, the time and bandwidth needed for content developers to execute a successful Facebook program remains a growing capacity concern. Utilizing an external ad agency, a popular outsourcing option for companies strapped for resources and talent, is a sound option to ensure your brand is getting the proper direction and content. Realizing the need for a centralized hub for activities, Facebook developers began rolling out a new tool this week called Business Manager – aimed at remedying some of these issues. Read more…

Top Products – Architectural Digest Home Design Show

Welcome to the Kleber & Associates blog! Here’s the latest on the Top Products at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show:

Housing From a New York Perspective
Although the housing start numbers came in slightly below expectations this week, there were nevertheless several important positive takeaways to salute. While new construction dropped slightly from 909,000 in January to 907,000 in February… new building permits rose 7.7%, to the highest rate since October and the second highest rate since the middle of 2009. According to the National Association of Realtors, the median existing home price in February was up 9.1% year over year.

What’s more, RealtyTrac reported that foreclosure activity in February fell to its lowest level in more than seven years. The combination of limited supply, recovering economic conditions with low rates and strong permitting bodes well for steady gains in construction activities during the upcoming spring and summer months. You wouldn’t know there were tensions in US-Russian diplomacy, Federal Reserve commentary or even missing airliners from New York fashion media. Instead, attention there this week was focused on the Architectural Digest Home Design Show – one of the year’s most important forums for what’s new and what’s next in Home and Building Products. In case you couldn’t be in attendance, below are our five favorite brands from the show.

Blomberg

BLOM-refrigerator-open

Leading European appliance manufacturer, Blomberg debuted several innovative products for the US, including their new Four-Door Cooling Refrigerator. With proprietary Blue Light Technology to maintain the freshness and vitamin value of  fruits and vegetables as well as a Flexi Zone temperature control system that extends cooling from -10°F to +50°F, allowing for storage of fresh or frozen foods in a single compartment… this fridge is truly in harmony with today’s lifestyles.

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens hosted several new stainless steel cabinet finishes, designed  for outdoor living enthusiasts looking for a splash of color. The display gave attendees a taste of the popular “inside/out” residential experience… complete with color-coordinated stainless steel cabinets, appliances and matching furniture. And  we were not the only fans of this exciting offering, as the brand won the coveted ASID Top Pick 2014 Award at the show.

Atocha Design

Retro was hot, from mid-century modern design to products that reminded us of simpler times — when vacuum tubes ruled the technology landscape. Made for vinyl enthusiasts and collectors, the Atocha Design Record Cabinet is designed to preserve your music collection while offering the elegance and aesthetics of hand-crafted furniture. Each drawer holds approximately 95 LPs (now being re-issued again, remember those?) and various models are available for holding CDs, 7-Crestron offered great insight into the true power of home automation technology. Motorized shades, automatic lighting, climate control, security and door locks were just some of the convenience features on display. The brand demonstrated how hand-held smart phone mobile devices can be used for a number of important tasks, including adjusting thermostats and remote locking and unlocking doors.

Walpole Outdoors

Walpole Outdoors brought to the event their new PVC Pergola product — echoing the overall show trend of alternative materials for traditional applications. PVC provides superior durability and resistance to the elements with the ability to color match to homeowner’s most exacting specifications. And to “top” things off, Walpole demonstrated a remote-controlled motorized, retractable ceiling screen… designed to deliver even further control over mother nature.

Welcome to the Kleber & Associates blog! Here’s the latest on Altmans Aqueduct LED Futuristic Faucet

The elegant Aqueduct LED stimulates the LED to sense and signal water temperature. Unlike other units that have color presets, the Aqueduct’s LED temperature sensor can tell whether the water is cold or hot, and then changes the color accordingly.

The Aqueduct LED bathroom faucet is designed for easy operation and utilizes elements of safety, as users will see the temperature signal before placing hands underneath the faucet. The water pressure powers the Aqueduct LED thermometer which then illuminates different colors to signal the actual water temperature. A red light signals hot temperature; a deep, blue light signals cold water; and a soft purple light signals a warm temperature.

Choosing the Best Indoor Projects to Enhance Your Home and Lifestyle

Welcome to the Kleber & Associates blog! Here’s the latest on Choosing the Best Indoor Projects to Enhance Your Home and Lifestyle

Considering an indoor replacement or renovation project as the summer wraps up and we head into the fall? With an array of impressive new products on the market, it’s hard to decide which project to do next.  We’d like to help you make your decision by offering a few facts about how to choose the best indoor projects to enhance your home and lifestyle, based on return on investment (ROI) and popularity.

Hy-Lite DecoGuard Window

What is the average cost for today’s home improvement project? The residential and commercial construction industry experts at Hanley Wood say, “Within three months of a home purchase, 53% of buyers undertook a home improvement project. According to the 2013 Profile of Buyers’ Home Feature Preferences by the National Association of Realtors, the typical buyer spent $4,550 on various projects.”

When considering the ROI for different types of projects, the facts show that replacement projects actually offer a better ROI than renovation, as they are frequently less expensive and look terrific immediately. “If you get new windows, new siding and replace the front door, the house looks great. It sells faster and for more money,” says Sal Alfano, editorial director of Remodeling Magazine. Additionally, there may be replacement upgrades you will need to do should you list your house for sale, why not do them now and enjoy them yourself? Whether it’s a replacement or a renovation, the indoor projects home owners experience most satisfaction with are the ones they believe are the best investment, long term.

It may come as a surprise to you to learn that very few home improvement projects actually return full value upon resale. RealestateMSN.com mentions the following three types of projects as having the best ROI: replacing exterior siding with fiber cement (av. cost $1,238, 73% ROI), a midrange attic bedroom remodel including bath with shower (av. cost $50,148, 72.5% ROI), and a midrange minor kitchen remodel (av. cost $19,588, 72.1% ROI).
